There are many ways to enjoy the garden in the Winter ...
In the winter, we team up with Great River Outfitters to offer
guided moonlight snowshoe trips through the garden. The trips end
at the tipi's for hot chocolate and smores. Great River provides
snowshoes, poles, headlamps and some basic instruction. All you need to
bring is some warm clothes, gloves and a hat. For those looking for more
of a gourmet experience, we offer a full fondu dinner cooked in the
tipi. Feel free to bring your own bottle of wine and we'll do the rest!

Dog Sledding - The Path of Life has teamed up with
Braeburn Huskies (http://www.braeburnsiberians.com)
to offer dog sledding adventures in the garden. The two sleds can take
two passengers each and will be in the garden on Saturday's and Sunday's
but it is definitely a good idea to call ahead and make your
reservation. Please call 802-674-9933 or visit http://www.greatriveroutfitters.com
for a complete schedule.
Sleigh Rides - On Saturday's and Sunday's we offer
guests the opportunity to tour the garden on a 16 person sleigh behind
two Belgium Draft horses. For those of you who haven't done this before,
it's a fun family adventure. The sleigh makes two stops on it's
circuit: one at the tipi for hot chocolate and one at the Harpoon
Brewery for colder refreshment. Please call ahead to make reservations.

Summer Fun.......
In the summer and Fall, most people enjoy the garden by taking a self-guided walking tour. It normally takes about 30-40 minutes to make your way through the garden but some people spend hours enjoying each room. Feel free to bring friends and a picnic.

Camping in our Tipi's - For people looking to spend more time in the garden, we have two tipi's that can sleep between 12-16 people. We supply cots, firewood, and a place for a bonfire in front of the band - so it makes for an incredibly special evening! Please call in advance to make a reservation.

Float trips and camping on the river - For even more adventure, we offer a combination of float trips and camping on the river. Great River Outfitters works out of the same barn as the Path of Life and has a full compliment of canoes, kayaks, rafts and tubes as well as a free shuttle service to Sumner Falls. This provides for a leisurely two-hour float trip back to the garden. Please visit http://www.greatriveroutfitters.com for more information.
